We dated each other for near 3 years on weekends, yes this is correct, on weekends only. It seemed our work and financial obligations were more important than our relationship. I was a part time single dad and couldn’t move too far from the mother to keep the “child exchanges” easy and my girlfriend did not want to travel the hour to her job on a daily basis nor take the chance to find another job in my area.
So, despite harmony and love, our relationship died just like it never was. From one day to the next I was single again and wondering what went wrong. To this day: I still don’t have a definite answer to this one. Only nice memories, photos and questions remains.
Being a normal and emotional person, I needed some time to recover from this breakup. After about 6 months, I was ready to begin again the quest for a life partner.
The year is 1997, I just broke up from a 3 years relationship and I find myself alone and once again: thinking about what went wrong? What is next? I am still a working-family-working not too outgoing part time single dad and like it or not: to increase my chances on finding a suitable life partner, I went back to the newspapers singles listings.
