I took a step back and analyzed the situation. Why wouldn’t these ladies write me back? I wrote nice personal letters, I had a nice profile describing myself with honesty and I had lots of recent pictures showing myself at home, doing sports, with my son etc.

I looked at other profiles of men trying to understand how to make mine more appealing while remaining honest. Of course, looking at all these profiles, it is clear that many people are not honest in what they say and show. They describe themselves as almost perfect human beings and for sure, this type of behaviour will work only until a first meeting occurs where the ladies are unmistakably disappointed.
I also re-thought about how to write a compelling introduction letter that would make single women feel like writing me back. Knowing myself, I realize that I am not a “born salesman” and most likely not the best at all at selling himself. However, I don’t project an image which is not mine. I am not the style to sell a dream. In other words, I am the type “what you see is what you get”.
So, I redid my profile and re-wrote my introduction letter. I selected profiles which seemed like a realistic match and sent them my intro letter. Each evening, I would send between 5 and 10 intro letters to selected ladies. I still had no success: most ladies would not reply while a few replied a simple “Not interested”.
I was baffled. I don’t have the looks of Richard Gere or Brad Pitt but I am not hard to look at all. Again, I wondered what I was doing wrong? What I needed to do to get the interest of these beautiful ladies?
