On my way back from back from vacations in North Carolina, I kept thinking about Russian women. For so many years, I had been unsuccessfully seeking a life partner locally and never the thought of finding a wife in Russia crossed my mind. Until my vacations on the USA east coast, that is.

Although I was quite familiar with the local dating websites for having used them for several years, I never came across a Russian women dating website. I guess one has to make searches with these specific words to get such results.

This is exactly what I did. I began making searches with terms like Russian women, meet Russian women, Russian women for marriage, Russian dating websites, Russian woman matchmaking etc. Wow, I was amazed to see how many websites offered these services.

So many young and beautiful women were displayed on each website; it was getting me quite excited. And the more I searched, I realized that there were different terms used such as Russian brides, mail order brides, Russian girls etc. That last one sounded out of context for a website featuring women seeking a life partner but I realized that it was more of an expression.

Soon, my excitement towards finding a Russian brides website was shared with disbelief. I began recognizing the same Russian women on different sites. Sometimes with the exact same pictures, sometimes a bit different but the same women. The websites were different and offered different membership and services. Actually, many websites did not display their offices address, some not even a telephone number to reach them.

So, I kind of cooled down a bit and proceeded to find more information on the subject. First of all; why would such beautiful Russian women seek a partner outside their country?
